The postal employee who delivers mail to FLV rang our President's doorbell this morning requesting immediate snow removal from in front of mailboxes. Yesterday, when the county plowed, many of the mailboxes ended up with snow piled in front of them, making it impossible for the postal carrier to drive up to the mailboxes to deliver the mail. Our Postal Carrier's boss has told him to stop getting out of the truck to deliver if the mailbox is snowed in. He has been instructed to take all undeliverable mail back to the post office, and folks will have to pick it up there.
Due to the holiday's, and a contract the Postal Service has with Amazon, the Post Office is completely overwhelmed. The Huge main mail truck arrived late so delivery for today has not yet started. If you are able to clear the snow away from your mailbox, please do so in order to continue to receive your mail.
