Neighborhood Information

Information for new neighbors and prospective residents

Welcome to the neighborhood!  Our subdivision consists of 205 homes in Ypsilanti Township, Michigan.  Below is some information about the neighborhood and association.

Association

Ford Lake Village is governed by the Ford Lake Village Property Owners Association.  A volunteer board represents the interests of the neighborhood and serves one year terms from the annual meeting in June.  To contact the board, send an email to board@fordlakevillage.com.

Subdivision History

The first wave of homes was built in 1994.  The original sales brochure shows the floor plans and lot maps for the subdivision.  As the homes age, similar items wear out at the same time.  We're collecting a Good Guy list of contractors and service people who neighbors have worked with and recommend.

Neighborhood Events

There are several annual events that are held to bring the neighborhood together.  Events include: an Easter Egg Hunt, Spring Cleanup Day in May, Annual Meeting in June, Garage Sale in July, Halloween Trick-or-Treating, Holiday Decoration Contest in December.  We also have bi-monthly Association meetings to share information and hear feedback from the neighbors.  Check the calendar to see what is coming up next.

Community Information

The subdivision is governed by Ypsilanti Township.  The Ordinance Enforcement department can be reached online or 485-4393.  We participate in Neighborhood Watch and our liaison is Deputy Lisa Farst, 734-260-7187, farst1@ewashtenaw.org.  Trash and recycling are picked up on Wednesdays.
